POURQUOI STORIES

Hi,
As you already know, "pourquoi" is a French word that means "why". A pourquoi story is a fictional tale that explains why something is the way it is, for example why a snake has no legs or why a tiger has stripes.

Your task is to write your own pourquoi story of about 100-150 words. Think about an animal and make up a story that explains why that animal got any part of its body.

It should start with an opening like "Once upon a time there was a.....". Then, make sure that your story is in past, include the EXPLANATION and finish it with "and that is why the .......... got its......."Don't forget to include a title. It could be something like  "Why/ How the.........got its......"

I'll leave here some examples for you to get inspired!
